The main destination of the Calico Jack Pirate Ship Day Charter is Piñero Island which is located in the municipality of Ceiba on the east side of Puerto Rico. Located east of Medio Mundo Point, it is approximately 337.15 acres in size. The island was previously under the jurisdiction of the United States Navy and was once part of the Roosevelt Roads military base. It is located 2.8 miles from the José Aponte De la Torre airport, the Roosevelt Roads base old airport.
Piñero Island is rich in pure nature, beautiful views, white sand and pristine clear waters. Its south side is known as Medio Mundo and is frequently visited by all kinds of vessels. The north side, where the Calico Jack Pirate Ship anchors, offers very tranquil turquoise waters where the guests can experience the best snorkeling. This small secluded island, which is a natural reserve protected by the Department of Natural Resources of Puerto Rico, offers a breathtaking setting where you can appreciate the shores of Fajardo and the impressive El Yunque Rainforest mountain range.
